A little while ago my boyfriend started talking about rings and stated he would like me to pick out my own ring. We ended up deciding on a ring together, rather quickly, that we picked out online.
I went to some jewelry design places with my mother while in my hometown for Christmas. I wanted to find a ring like the one we picked out to see what it would look like in person, as well as try on some others. I ended up finding the ring we had picked out and I didn’t like how it looked on my hand at all! I was so surprised but relieved I had gone in person.
I ended up trying on a ring I fell in love with! It was a classic and looked amazing on my small hands. However the setting was made for a 2ct diamond (is that why I liked it so much?), which is bigger than we are going for. The sales woman said they may be able to “customize” it to fit something smaller, so she gave me her card with the information about the ring on the back to give to my SO.
Upon arriving home I let my boyfriend know that we would have to choose another setting (he was disappointed) I continued to look for a ring online and finally found a classic and dazzling pave solitaire that I adore!! I gave him all the information he would need so that we need never speak of it again until the day of our engagement (as he wants me to pick a ring and then shut up about it so that I can still be surprised. I agree. I’m trying.) I have not tried this ring on in person. I have seen stock photos as well as real photos of the setting that customers have bought with different cuts/sizes of diamonds.
Buuuut when cleaning out my wallet the other day I found the business card with the “name” of the ring, some numbers, and a sketch. I decided I would google the “name of the ring” and “engagement sets”, and what do you know I found my baby!! For $500 less, and for any size diamond I want!!!!! Oh man is my heart full of joy or what?! Until I realized I may have to switch the setting on my Love just one more time. I cannot decide because I love both rings very much, they are both classic, and I can see myself in either of them. This needs to be my final choice or he might not marry me! LoL!
So please help me choose!
The first one from the jewelry store is a solitaire with hidden diamond clusters underneath the center stone on either side as well as random diamonds along the carved filigree. I think this ring is sophisticated and classic.
The Second photo is the online ring. A double row pave solitaire, elegant, a classic beauty.
