Lots of water! Eat multiple small meals rather than 3 bigger meals. Sounds like you have a good plan! Can you have your alterations lady put a corset back in in a worst case scenario?
Hey date twin!
I know everyone recommends it, but the 30 day shred video. It's intense, but it WORKS!! I went for my first fitting on July 1, and my dress was also too small. I posted pics after because I was really upset. I started the shred right away, and have already dropped 2 inches in the area I was worried about (chest, back bust area)... I dont go back for the actual fitting until August 13, but so far I feel like I will be fine! I'm also down 8 pounds, and its been almost 4 weeks
I second the 30 day shred. I haven't had a change in my waist or chest, but I have lost 1" from my hips in the past 15 days.
I haven't been dieting AT ALL (like, I just ate half a tub of ben and jerry's, although I do eat a pretty balanced diet beyond that), and before the shred, I was already physically active.
(So, I think it is something that works even if you are already moderately active, especially if you would combine it with a healthy diet).
Add cinnamon to your diet. I put it in my coffee, on my cereal, even a little on chicken... Since I started doing that three weeks ago, I've taken off 7 pounds without changing my activity level. I know it sounds weird, but since I started eating cinnamon, I've had no trouble cutting out sugar and I've actually found I'm not as hungry.
Wow! Thanks for the advice everyone! I'll look into the Shred tonight!
Slow down on the carbs! It worked for me, I couldn't fit into my dress at my first fitting and had 4 weeks to lose some weight. I watched my calories and did low carb! Worked perfectly!
NO processed foods! AT ALL! check out the eat clean diet and do cooler one if ya can! Seriously, it's awesome!
Eat 1200 calories a day. Seriously! It works for me, and drink lots of water. Switch to tea if you drink coffee. And just dont panic (when I panic I eat more). And as Miss Hunky said- stop eating processed foods (for life, really). Cook small fulfilling meals- high protein- and eat AS MANY fruits and veggies as you can.
I just started the C25K and am hoping to lose weight that way. I also started eating a lot of kale & vegetables, I have actually gotten an entire bunch of kale and cooked it up for dinner without eating anything else, it is so yummy and filling!
If you do 30 mins of cardio everyday (even just dancing to 30 mins of music in your living room) cut out any non fruit, grain or vegatable carbs and replace at least one meal per day with a vitamin filled juice or shake you will lose weight fast. you have to be strict though. especially with the exercise.
drink lots of water and don't allow yourself any other beverage. sugary and alcoholic drinks really mess you up.
CARDIO!!! That's what my tranier told me. Weight training is awesome, but if you're trying to lose inches, ramp up your cardio. Tons of water, and kick carbonated beverages out of your life. I gave up diet soda (blek! chemicals!) and seriously have dropped five pounds alone by doing that.
Oh! And banish salty foods from your life. They only cause bloat.
I don't think it's possible to lose 10 pounds in 3 weeks and keep it off for good. Just let the dress out. It's not the end of the world.
Thanks for the advice everyone! Unfortunately, most of the go-to weight loss tricks don't help me because I already do 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week, I only drink water and maybe the occasional (like, once a week) cup of coffee, I don't eat salt and I don't really snack. I'm going to try to cut out bread, pasta and sweets and see where that gets me. The 30 Day Shred is being reserved at Barnes and Noble and I'll pick it up tomorrow.
Cardio, eat more often, no cheese, nothing fired, dont eat before bed. No carbs at night. WATER
Cardio, lots of water, and eating numerous small meals throughout the day to kick start your metabolism. Also, big one....LOW SODIUM! Salt makes you retain water therefore you are adding on excess weight and becoming bloated at the same time.
blueprint cleanse. it's expensive but yuo lose about 5 to 10lbs in a week. it's a juice cleanse and afer you feel amazing.
otherwise, go on nutrisystem for a month. i always lose weight when i'm on that.
I did the South Beach Diet and lost about 10 lbs in the first 2 weeks and have continued to lose weight since. The first 2 weeks calls for cutting out most carbs and then the following week slowly reintroduces them. http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/index.html
I lost 5lbs in a week by just restricting calories. Keep a food journal and make sure you find out how many calories it takes to maintian the weight you want to be at. Its usually based on your height. Don't go below 1500 if days you are active and 1200 days you aren't.
Make sure to take all your vitamins and eat lots of veggies and low sugar fruits like apples and oranges.
Drink water like its going out of style. At least 2 liters a day.
Do this religiously and you will see results.

Help! I just got back from my first fitting and my dress was too small! I have another fitting in 3 weeks and I think if I lose 10 pounds I won't have to have it let out at all. I don't plan on crash dieting. I'm just wondering if anyone has any good healthy eating tips or fast-result workout suggestions. For now I plan on taking salads for lunch, eating small dinners and going to the gym at least 5 days a week. Any suggestions?
