Ok, ladies, when I booked my wedding in June, months ago, my period came about 2 weeks before the date.  Now, the last couple of months, my period has been starting the day of my wedding date!  I have had my tubes tied, so I don't take any birth control pills that I could change around.  It's too late to change my wedding day, and my clycle are so mood altering, what can I do?  I don't want to rely on luck, hoping I won't start.  We're going to the beach for our honeymoon & I don't want to be bloated, either, not to mention the wedding night!   Thanks in advance for any advice!

well with any luck, it won't start! If you are tired, nervous, or stressed it is likely that your period won't begin until you've gotten enough rest and are relaxed

Yeah- I'm in the same boat with you.  There's nothing we can do but just hope. I'm trying not to stress too much about it- as there is nothing I can do about it. I too have a beach adventure planned for the honeymoon  (sigh).

Try to call your ob/gyn and see what can be done but do it NOW. You still have time to adjust your cycle by June. Good Luck !

You could start on the pill now to shift things around a bit, even if you're not using them for pregnancy prevention.  And that way you'll know exactly when your period will start- no suspense!  Talk to you ob/gyn about it =)   Mine starts within the hour every month =P

I think you'll have to look into getting the pill, too.  It takes a couple months to really set, but I would think if you get in NOW it'll be good for June.  Also, you can ask your OB about taking more pills from the third week (if needed) to "skip" your period, or really just extend when it actually starts.

mine will too.  there's nothing else you can do other than altering your body with hormones.  just have a really good tampon in and take water pills!  don't ingest salt!  i think miss gummibear had the same dilemma and there was a lot of advice in that post.

@futuremrsgibbs: I had mine on my wedding day and it lasted a few days into the honeymoon.  It was a bummer, but really not the end of the world.  Don't worry about it and just enjoy your day, whether you get it or not :)

Try the Depo Provera shot?  If you do it soon, you may stop your cycles before June - you'd have to check with your OB to find out what they think.

This is the type of question you should ask your gyno. They know what's best health wise! For example, a few months before the wedding I started getting my period in the when I shouldn't (determined to be due to stress since it was when I missed just one pill, which normally doesn't affect me) and I just restarted a new pack, when I called though they said I should have kept with the original pack. I didn't that the next time and it got right on schedule again. I wouldn't have known that if I didn't call my gyno!!!!!!
