    I am having major registry remorse.  I keep changing the items I chose and revising it thinking that the things I'd like are too expensive.

    We are inviting about 160-170 people. We are in our mid 30's and live in the NYC area.  We both have graduate degrees and so do most of our friends.  I registered at Macys and Crate and Barrel. Here's the breakdown:

    Macys:

    $1-25: 92 items (includes sets of 12 for wine/water glasses;

    $26-50: 38 items;         $51-100: 23 (mostly $60+)

    $101-150: 21 (include our china set of 12);   $150-200: 1 (part of our china)

    $200+ 5 (the most expensive is a suitcase $380)

    CRATE AND BARREL:

    0-25: 49 items (2.95 the cheapest); $25-50: 13 items; $50-100: 4 items ($79.95 the most expensive)

    My job always throws a bridal shower so I think that most of the stuff from CB will be purchased by them.  What do you think am I asking for too many gifts? Too expensive?  Thanks for your help.

    I think you have plenty of gifts!  We were told to register for 2-3 gifts per person, and you've got about 1.5 =)

    You're not alone!  I keep having major registry guilt, followed by registry excitement, followed by guilt :)  I think you have a good mix of price points.

    There are a few threads in recent weeks where people listed their registry breakdowns.

    Mine's changed, we actually added a registry (C&B) so we could have some new, not scratched up and chipped dishes.  We decided we deserve it :)

    Our invite list is 170, and I will have one shower of about 45 people.

    Here is our breakdown:

    Amazon (mostly to show what we need from Ikea for furniture and some small kitchen items):  $1-25: 9 $26-50: 2 $51-100: 0 $101-150: 1 $150-200: 2 $200+: 1

    Target: (some kitchen things, many electronics (FI stuff) including a biggg TV) $1-25: 21 $26-50: 9 $51-100: 1 $101-150: 1 $150-200: 0 $200+: 2

    Bed, Bath & Beyond:  $1-25: 48 $26-50: 7 $51-100: 6 $101-150: 1 $150-200: 0 $200+: 1

    Crate and Barrel:  112 items under $25, 1 at @26.95.  Includes 12 placesettings, additional plates and serving pieces, barware and other random kitchen goodness.  The 26.95 is a serving bowl I found myself oddly attached to :)
