Ok, so I have been through hell and back with these cupcakes. Long story short...I want pumpkin cupcakes (along with chocolate and white) and I have had a hard time finding a baker who will do pumpkin (that doesnt cost like $3.00 per cupcake- which I find assinine). SO, one of my BMs and her mother offerred to do the cupcakes for me (mind you, there are going to be about 250 of them). Well, after realizing the feasability of her actually getting them here without getting messed up along the drive (from her house to mine it is 2 hours)...it's not going to work out. So..I have been trying to dig for a baker around here that will do them. Does anyone know of an inexpensive baker in the Columbus, OH area that is reasonably priced and will do more than just the standard chocolate and vanilla cupcakes? I am about to just go to a grocery store bakery (but I know they wont do pumpkin- I've already asked). Help!

I can't help you with columbus bakers, but wanted to say that if you get stuck with grocery store cupcakes both Sams and Costco make some tasty ones!  Good luck and I'm sorry :(

I live in Springfield and we have a bakery here in town called Schulers and they make the most wonderful cakes I have ever tasted.  I know they just opened up a store in London which wouldn't be that far for you.  You should really look into them!  I don't know what their prices for an order would be, but their cupcakes are pretty cheap when you buy them individually.

    Here's their information:
    289 Lafayette St
    London
    , OH, 43140
    Phone:  (740) 490-7209
    Mon - Sun: 6:00 am - 9:00 pm

You have probably already looked into these bakeries but how about Bakery Gingham, Pattycake Bakery, and Short North Piece of Cake. I had pumpkin cupcakes from Pattycake Bakery last weekend and they were delicious. Unfortunately, I don't know the cost but I think they lean more toward assenine.  If I think of any other possibilities, I'll post.
