I am glad you found it...and even if it takes you out of your way...dob't buy it from the salon that lied about it. Don't give them the satisfaction.
hmm bought my dress from yvonne's too! and they told me it was a 2bebride dress but I cant find it anywhere online ... so im kinda doubting it was .... ugh people tick me off. So glad you found it! it is an amazing dress!

ugh ... its killing me the private label dresses look sooo much like mine but I still cant find my exact dress .... they even have the detachable train! I have a fitting on saturday and you can be sure I will be looking to see what the label says. and only caz Im a wuss I wont say anything until I pick up my dress just before the wedding. Ummm if it is private label they sooooo over charged me!!!
What worries me is the phrase "retailer exclusive designs".
Private Label said: We do not advertise these
gowns as our own because technically we sell the rights to the retailer.
Ms. December - I hope she didn't lie to you too! I contacted 2Be myself to find out if this dress was a one or not. Maybe you should do the same?

I already bought it.... so i guess at this point it doesnt matter much, but I will def let them know that their shadyness is out! (after my dress is safely in my hands of course!)
I've been following your post about the mystery dress and I'm so happy for you that you figured it out! Hope you can find a way to get it now!
msDecember- I would hope you would still contact 2Be so that they know that the store operator is doing something disreputable. It might impact their desire to contract, etc.
END OF THE STORY - (I think)
In the end of my four month search the dress was a limited version by Private Label by G and was discontinued in Febuary, 2009. That means this salon kept displaying it and lied about its manufactuer for over 6 months.
So the story ends with no dream dress but a hightened awareness of the underbelly of the bridal dress world. I hope my story helped brides in search of the dress to be weary of salons that rip tags out!
If you get suspercious at any bridal salon run! There are plenty of good stores out there that will help you find "the dress"!

Wooooooooooow. Shady shady. You should report them to the BBB! That's crazy.
Wow you are bridal detective! Definitely do a favor to other brides and post a review on Yelp and BBB!

You go, girl! That's seriously impressive detective work. I'm sorry you've got to look for a new dress but at least you get the satusfaction of solving the mystery and sticking it to the bridal shop. Also, so many bees posted pics of similar dresses for you to look at while the search was still on. I'm always amazed when people can figure this stuff out.

If you go into a bridal salon without tags in the dresses, do NOT reward their illegal behavior with your money! And spread the word!
Thanks to lauraou7 for still searching for me and finding the offical listing of my dream gown on a canadain web site by Private Label By G.
I drove down to RK in NYC to find they had sold the discontinued sample they had so it seems that my mission had finally ended. The dress is discontinued and I can't find a leftover sample. Oh well, on to a new dress!

Yes that is one of our retailer exclusive designs. We do not advertise these

But yes, that is one of our designs, and its actually pretty limited to a few
retailers per state/region.
Let me know if you'd like any further information about the dress, but bear in
mind our retailer exclusive program of offering designs to retailers without
claiming it for our own line/label. A true "private label" despite or company
