I PMed you with a great place and prices! Let me klnow if I can help you more!!!
My florist is in downtown LA. My flowers are very simple, so they are less expensive, but I've seen them do amazing work with much more elaborate flowers. I only spent $650.
The name of the company is Casa Blanca Flower Shop, phone: 213-955-9227, 536 East 8th Street, Los Angeles, 90014. It helps if you speak spanish, or bring someone who does. They made a mock-up of what I wanted and then we negotiated. For pictures visit my blog at http://calioc.blogspot.com/2008/03/flowers.html
Good luck!
I used Daisy's flowershop in downtown LA. Ask for Sonya. She is working at the shop next door. You can see the flower arrangements at http://www,lan-pham.de
I had 4 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 2 dads, groomsmen and hubby (4) and the brides bouquet (cymbidium orchids, pink roses and peonies)
We had 18 centerpieces (low and tall ones)
5 flowersets for the arch
2 tall arrangements for the columns
Ring boy pillow
Pompom for the flowergirl
We paid in total around 1900.
Make sure you set the arrival time early enough for the setup. They arrived an hour late but it was okay since I still had plenty of time left.
HTH!
<span class="dot">Rendez-Vous Florist did my wedding and they are amazing. They're arrangements are gorgeous.
If you give them your budget, they will work with you and tell you what they can do. They do everything from the Grammy Awards, to just a simple bunch of flowers for your dining table.

My florist works out of her home so she doesn't have much overhead and thus her prices are very reasonable. For very simple flowers, you can get 1 bride bouquet, 1 BM bouquet, bouts for groom, best man, fathers, corsages for moms and grandma and 20 bouts for relatives for only $200. The lady is called Lillian and her company is LKD flowers. I just had my wedding mid-may and all my flowers came out perfectly. She also does chaircovers for $2 and backdrops. You can see a large sample of her work at the wedbsite below. The $200 package is under the "special packages" link. Good luck. Let me know if you want to see pics of my flowers.
I am using Bride and Bloom Flowers in Long Beach. I love Amy's work and have already ben to a wedding where she was the florist. Prices are reasonable and arrangements are amazing. She has a website:
Effusive Flowers in Santa Monica

My friends/coworkers have used Cristina's Flowers in the past (http://cristinasflowers.com). She works out of her house and is located in Long Beach. I think she does chaircovers, as well.
