I’ll share what we had planned on this year because I’ve decided that I’ll be too busy to make a costume.  I was going to be the galaxy.  Yes, I know this sounds weird, but I love costumes that light up.  Last year, I sewed lights into my costume and it was so much fun because everyone noticed and commented on it all night.  My friend made me do it to her costume too.  It’s really easy if your costume has a tutu.  You can buy cheap LED lights with a battery pack on Amazon and you just stitch it into the folds of the tutu.

So I was going to buy those ugly galaxy leggings, make a tutu in the same colors, put lights in it, and attach little planets all over me.  I was also going to do a headband with a bunch of stars on little wire coils.  Mr. S was going to be an astronaut, but if your SO didn’t want to reuse a costume, he could be something else related to space.  May not be your taste, but having lights in my costume last year was ridiculously silly and fun!

We also considered me being R2D2 and Mr. S being another Star Wars character or me being a Christmas tree and him being something Christmas related because I could make both of those costumes light up too, haha 🙂

Glad my weirdness will benefit you!  Honestly, a little jealous because I loved it too, but I just don’t have the time with a million other projects going on!

@BellaDee:  My FI is blonde and I am brunette so we dressed up as Zach Morris and Kelly Kapowski, I bought a hanes grey sweat shirt and printed out the Bayside Tigers logo on the trasfer fabric paper, wore some high waisted levis and keds and my FI wore a blue and white striped shirt with old school levis and some high tops with a sweat shirt around his waist! It was adorable, of course I didn’t get any pictures >:-[

I used an old 80s dress I found at a thrift store and made this costume last year.  I’m sure the idea could work with any babydoll type dress.  I used yarn and two pieces of balsa wood from Michael’s for the puppet thing. FI’s outfit was just a long black coat we found at the thrift store and a top hat from the halloween store. The scars on my face are easy to do with a latex make-up kit, or unflavored gelaton mix.  If you want a how-to on the make-up, let me know! My friends thought this was so creepy, especially my “big” eyes! lol
