I’ve had such a hard time deciding where to honeymoon…when you can really go anywhere you want, it’s hard to narrow down the options. We are honeymooning THIS November and are looking at the Caribbean, Central America, and DR.
I’m debating between Punta Cana, DR; Belize; St. Thomas; and Turks and Caicos. DR and St. Thomas have the most affordable and direct flights…since we only have 6-7 days for vacation, maybe those are our best options?
Here’s what I’m looking for: pristine beaches, sightseeing/city culture (in case we get bored of the beach every day and want to mix things up…but we don’t want to compromise on pristine beaches in order to be in a city if you catch my drift), nice restaurants, luxury resorts for decent prices, and of course, good weather!

@itsme123: I really loved St. Thomas! The beach at the villas where we stayed was beautiful – we could walk out and snorkel in perfectly clear water with tons of gorgeous fish. We didn’t spend a ton of time in town, since we mostly hung out on the beach and cooked in the villa’s kitchen, but I think there were probably some things to do. We drove around a bit, stopped at a place with boozy milkshakes to go, bought fresh fish and fruit from roadside vendors and had beers and conch fritters at a little super casual restaurant on a dock. We also took a ferry to St. John and had dinner at a fancy restaurant and hired a Jeep driver for a tour of the island. It was gorgeous, relaxed and fun!
I can’t recommend a specific place to stay, though, since the villas where we stayed have new owners, and the reviews are pretty awful now. But I bet you can find someplace nice!

We’re getting nervous about caribbean weather in November. We’re actually considering Curacao since it’s outside the hurricaine belt. Anyone think that might be a safe bet? I know that the culture there is really interesting and the architecture is colorful, but are the beaches still pristine?

There isnt much city culture in Punta Cana, unless you want to hop a bus for 3 hours to Santo Domingo. Have you looked at Costa Rica? Ive heard wonderful things
