I think the pic of tulips for a centerpiece wll give you the spring look you want. Tulips are also very reasonably priced. You could set them inside a brown container and use some wheatgrass on top of the soil to get the same look.
This pic shows what babies breath and a few pink tulips would look like

You don't need a lot of tulips, but babies breath on its' own tends to bring summer to mind rather than spring.

Here are some ideas for you! I hate baby's breath so I would suggest green hydrangeas. You can use green as the escort cards like the apples or add more greenery to the flowers. Patterned ties are a good way to add color as well as the ribbon on the bouquets, green napkins, cocktail napkins, linen overlays, etc.. If your bridesmaids have a lace up back I wouldn't add the sash as it might be too much, small touches will ties it all together.
intresting I am a pink/black bride... looking for ideas cant wait to see what else people have to share.
@jennyg: Hi There, I've also got Strawberry bridesmaid dresses and I wondered if you have found any ribbon that goes with the dresses?
I've had such difficulty finding things because it is not a pink nor a red and is slightly different to a hot pink. I've managed to get chair sashes in a very similar colour but now struggling for ribbon or roses to match!
Any help would be appreicated. Many thanks x

Hey bees, So Im getting married in April and my colors are hot pink(strawberry) and brown. Originally I thought pink and brown would be just fine, but now I think I want to add more of the spring "look". The bridesmaid dresses are strawberry from mori lee and the tuxes are brown. I would like to incorporate more of the spring look by adding accents of spring green and maybe light pinks.. Im not sure how to do this or if this would be too much. Does anyone have ideas for what I could do? flowers? ties? reception decor? I was thinking about doing a green sash for the bridesmaids, but the dresses have a lace up back so im not sure how that would look. My wedding favors are coming in 4 different colors (hot pink, light pink, brown and green). Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated!! Thanks so much!
**I forgot to add I am having white chair covers. I have a family member who is letting me borrow the ones she bought.
** also what does everyone think of babysbreath for flowers.. cheap yet elegant?? does this work with my colors? should I add green hydrangeas? or pink flowers? Thanks!!
