Has anyone had the issue of how to provide ice for beverages for an outdoor wedding reception of 200 guests? The wedding is on the family far. Bar will be set up as self service. Are there companies that rent out ice makers or freezers? or do you suggest lots of coolers and buying bagged ice? Trying to find a solution to this problem. Any suggestions are appreicated!!! Thank you.

Bagged ice should work fine. Might want to make some room in your freezer to collect the bags over time.
Rubbermaid has some really good tips on their website. Google “keeping cooler cold longer” to find it. Most of their tips are like “no duh” things, but in the craziness that is your wedding they could be forgotten.
But I’ve heard that adding SALT to water, then adding ice keeps things cooler.
Here, found this:
This will help you to save $ on the bagged ice, and it will save a TON of room in your coolers, as well.
And never EVER freeze glass. I don’t care what any person or website says.
I can tell you from personal experience that no good can come of it.

Im also trying to figure how to keep ice for making mixed drinks. the issue is storing it without it melting or becoming unsanitary. Any suggestions?
