@MoonDancer:  Congratulations!  I’m not sure of the age of your guests, but Rod Stewart has 2 great CDs of the American Songbook.  Michael Buble, Harry Connick Jr., those would all be good for background music.

If I was doing something for a smaller group and was making apps, I would probably do:

Cheese straws, sausage in mushroom caps, shrimp cocktail or shrimp deviled eggs, cherry tomato/mozzarella/basil picks, and fruit and cheese.  Little bit of everything and nothing is too difficult.  You could also make tea sandwiches with storebought chicken salad or egg salad, order in some little chicken bites from Chik-fil-A–who doesn’t love chicken and honey mustard?

I was 38 when I got married, and had a lace, tea-length dress.

Hope that helps!

@MoonDancer:  This is the dress I got.  It’s from Kiyonna.com, but I’m plus sized, so options were limited.

@MoonDancer:  it was easy to buy online because it was under $200.  I figured, worse come to worse, I could return it!   Don’t be scared of buying online, just leave yourself plenty of return time if you need it.
