Where do you live? Buying in person might be better.

Does it need to be a Chinese-style dress, like a qipao/cheongsam? That could be difficult, because they typically need to be bespoke or at least tailored to fit, especially if you are petite.

If you just mean a red evening gown, your options are much more open.

I ended buying a red reception dress from a bridal store, it was actually a bridesmaids dress. They did order it for me in my size so it took about a month. That being said, you can try ordering online from David’s bridal or something. Otherwise I remember seeing some nice red formal dresses on modcloth after buying my dress. They have the best return policy.

Zappos has fast & free shipping and carries down to sizes 0-00 though they don’t have many red gowns. A few so I’d still try there since maybe you’d like one and if it’s too long I think you’d have just enough time for alterations. If not maybe modcloth, & Nordstrom? They also have express shipping. (Additions charge tho)

sugarcube:  It’s free and easy to do returns with modcloth. I ended buying and returning several dresses for the court ceremony. Good luck finding a dress! Congratulations on the upcoming wedding!

Modcloth is great!

Also, try Laura Petites if there’s one in your area — or any clothing store that carries petite sizes, such as Cleo; etc.

why don’t you try rent the runway? they send you two different sizes to ensure one fits and rentals can be as little as 50 or 100 dollars. you could even rent it this week to be sure of the size, and then rent it again for your wedding – would still only be 100 – 200 dollars.

here’s a list of all their red dresses – there are some beautiful options!

https://www.renttherunway.com/dress/search/colors-red

for each dress it has ‘fit notes’ and explains the cup size, measurements and body type the dresses are good for and there’s a gallery for each dress of people who wore the dress – so you’ll be able to look and see if other size 00 or 0 or petite people liked it.

sugarcube:  I would try Nordstroms and Macys.  They definitely carry petite dresses.
