Out of the two I prefer the first one, but I think you can find something better. Have you tried a slim a-line? So not as pouffy as a regular a-line but slightly more flowy than a mermaid.

I would probably bring this picture to a local seamstress and ask how much it would cost to alter the dress — then see which one fits your budget better, overall.

Dress 1 is definitely more flattering on you! 🙂 The crease in the middle can be fixed with a fit and flare petticoat from DB.

@fabulousbee:  no problem, otherwise I think the first dress would be perfect for a beach wedding 🙂

I prefer dress 2 but if you’re still unsure – and if there’s still time – I would suggest for you to keep looking

Then, my next question is: which one would be more comfortable?

I would mirror PP’s recommendations to try on more dresses before you settle.

Try fitted A-line and column/sheath silhouettes. If it’s just the two of you, there’s something to consider too: it will be hard going to the washroom by yourself with so much dress.

I love both dresses on you but I like the first better. I don’t like how the skirt of the second dress looks so different from the top part.

@fabulousbee:  Dress #2 is nice, but I really prefer that flowy material at the bottom of dress #1. And I think dress #1 looks very pretty on you.

#1 looks much more appropriate for an outdoor wedding, in my opinion. But they are both very nice!

With the great body you’ve got, I definitely think you should show it off. I really like the mermaid silhouette on you, but I also think you’d suit ballgowns (though that may not be the style you’re going for).

My problem with David’s Bridal dresses – I think they’re both DB dresses you’ve got on, yeah? – is that they tend to be quite unstructured and not have a lot of boning etc to them – and lace dresses generally can be quite unstructured anyway. And I think dresses with a lot of structure would be the best for your figure, because you have curves. This is probably why the really unstructured and flowy ‘beachy” dresses looked bad on you.

None of these dresses are full lace, but one of the DB mermaid/trumpet/fit and flare options I think these would be best for your figure. I keep coming up with styles with drama or tiers at the bottom as I think they help to emphasise the curves.

(may be too expensive, but a girl can dream!)

Of the full lace options at DB, I think these would be better (most of them aren’t mermaids)

#2. I know it was intentionally designed this way but the top layer of #1 appears unfinished in length to me. I prefer the 2nd, but I still think you can trump both of these 🙂
