I actually bought two gorgeous dresses at JC Penny's... I don't know if you're from the states, but they have great stuff there, and they were really well priced.
In Canada, I find that Sears is the best for nice, but not killer expensive dresses.

Try Target.com! They have petite sizes on line. Look in the party dress section.
Any department store will have tons to chose from. Macys and Bloomingdales always have a great selection. Also BCBG and Anthropologie have great sales racks that will have outdoor wedding appropriate dresses.
Where have you looked so far?
@Meowkers I just checked out Anthropologie.com and fell in love with a blue polka dot halter dress. Not sure if I can swing it or not, but I'll see what I can do. Thanks :)
JCrew is having a dress sale right now, and also 20% off all sale items.
I checked out Nordstrom and didn't find anything. I will definitely check out JCrew though....Thanks guys, I didn't even think of that one!
You could also try Ann Taylor - they usually have a good petite section.
BCBG has a ton of cute dresses!! I recently bought both of these..they have alot to choose from!

@lauren810c I love the first one! That's definitely my style...I wonder if it comes in different colors
I don't think it does, but the watermelon color is amazing....I wore it for both my engagment pics and my bachelorette party...it is a great fit too...
I was thinking J.Crew. They have some cute dresses you can dress up or down.

Ok, I know that people usually post about wedding gowns here, so I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to post this, but I need some help.
My SO is the best man in his best friend's wedding a month away. His friends all live pretty far away so this is the first time I'll be meeting all of them. I obviously want to look nice and make a good impression.
Here is my problem:
I am 25 years old. All of the stores I normally shop in do not carry wedding appropriate dresses. For some reason, they think that all girls my age only wear rediculously short dresses. I've tried going to some older stores in the mall, but the dresses I've found have been for women in their forties :-/
It will be an outdoors wedding and semi casual. I'm about 5'5" and really petite. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I could look for a nice wedding guest dress that would be age appropriate for me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks :)
