I need help selecting the right veil or headpiece for my dress! It’s a one-shoulder, trumpet-style, diamond-white dress with a Swarovski flower embellishment (Allure Bridal style #8755):
Because of the embellishment, I’m not sure what to do for a veil or headpiece – I don’t want to distract from the embellishment or make it look too busy. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

What’s your opinion on veils and headpieces? Do you lean one way or another? In terms of head piece – I would keep it simple, and probably do something that isn’t visible from the front, as not to distract from the whole look. I don’t think a super simple veil would be distracting, something raw edge, perhaps something long would be simple and lovely!

I am leaning more toward a veil as I’m fairly traditional, but I would consider a simple headpiece as well. I think you’re right that a super simple veil with a raw edge would work well – it’s probably best to avoid more rhinestones on the veil, right? Would that be overload?

I don’t think a simple rhinestone trim would be a problem if that’s what you’re desiring! I love your dress, by the way!

I think I would look at a simple fingertip veil and perhaps a fabric flower similar to the one on the shoulder. How do you want to wear your hair? That is the first thing I would decide before adding a comb or anything beyond the veil.
