Okay, where to begin.. I just started planning.. Things I am struggling with.. THE COST of everything wedding…
Here is what we would like to do:
Go to Galena IL.. Him and I plus the 5 kids… get married there, stay the weekend, and enjoy
Then come back the following week and have a HUGE party.
What I am struggling with are MANY things..
I do want all the bells and whistles..
1. Do I where my wedding dress at the party or something else?
2. Do we do more laid back versus a “banquet” type setting?
3. If we do ” more laid back” how do I do the invitations?
My vision is a unique venue, with a ton of food, tons of flowers and candles.. but with a unique venue.. how do I keep costs down// table linens, alcohol, and food..
We are in the Chicago burbs, and banquet halls for running 65+ a plate not including alcohol.. and with a guest list of 150+.. the thought of the amount of money makes me sick..
A unique venue, is going for around 1,000. and they provide table and chairs.. no linens, food or booze.. alcohol is 20. per person, I haven’t found a caterer that I liked yet, so nor=t sure on prices..
Any suggestions would be great!!
having it at our house is not an option.. any other reasonable priced location, that allows you to bring your own vendor would be great.. or a great reasonable rustic/relaxing banquet hall..
