Bees, Mum & I are having a quick Melbourne trip this weekend to try & find her the dress for the wedding. We’ll have 1 maybe 2 days for shopping, budget of $200 for the dress & hopefully headpiece.
I was thinking Chadstone, or maybe sicking to the city??
Where would you recommend & why?

Chadstone is a great place to start! There are plenty of formal dress shops, shoe shops and accessories shops that I think will fit that price range. The second level from memory is a good place to start looking.
It depends on what kind of dress and style your MOB is looking for, but in the city I would recommend DFO on Spencer Street (Southern Cross train station), Melbourne Central, and then there is MYER and David Jones on Burke street. These are all walking distance/tram rides from each other. I recommend all these places because they should be reasonably priced and have a wide variety of dress styles.
You could perhaps spend one day at Chadstone and then the next in the city if you don’t find anything. There is also a bridal warehouse out in North Melbourne if you get extra desperate that you can google!
Hope that helps 🙂

I would skip DFO in the city and head to the one in Essendon instead. But I think you would be better off heading to Brunswick. There are a whole heap of bridal and dress shops there.
If you want to stick to the city area so you can hit DJ’s and Myers I would also maybe head down to the Bridge Rd and Swan St area. You could also try Isabella Fashions at Australia on Collins (260 Collins st I think). Here is their website
