Hi there, can anyone suggest gifts for a female friend who will be performing our wedding ceremony?? I am not sure if I should give her the same gifts as the bridesmaids etc. or if that is weird or not.

In discussing our officiants attire (my Aunt) she stated that she was going to wear a black dress. So we bought her a really beautiful scarf to wear on that day and gave it to her at the rehearsal dinner. We also bought her a brooch, just in case she wasn’t a fan of the scarf.

Our reverend is an older family friend. We are buying her a gift certificate to a restaurant they know they like as well as giving a small donation to her church.

@mwitter80: That’s a lovely idea! I love brooches and think they should be worn a lot more often than they are.
OP, does she like wine? A few nice bottles of wine are always a classy, thoughtful gift. You could also get higher end hair/make up products if she’s into that kind of thing.

Thanks ladies! =) Its so hard shopping for others! I’m so terrible at it..hehe…I may go the gift certificate route along with some type of jewelry item and finishing it off with a nice thank you card. I really want to get her something useful & meaningful at the same time. She doesnt really drink wine..I think she likes beer more
