My wonderful FI made our wedding invites.
Do we need to include rsvp cards? also I was wondering how to include menu choices…are they sent with the invites or at a later date? Once guests have replied with a yes.
Any help would be so great because I’d never hosted a sit down plated dinner before.

@Soon2BD-CBee: We’re waiting to print out invitations until we finalize the choices for the main course. That’s how I’ve normally seen it. As a guest if I don’t see a food choice I assume it’s going to be a buffet. I was wrong only once, and at that wedding we chose our meal at the table, day-of. ‘Twas fancy. Here’s what my RSVP card looks like (although, when we do our tasting on Thursday, we may change the beef to lamb):

The other way I have seen it is to include a wedding website address or email and have people RSVP that way. My husband’s coworker created a new email address just for that and it seemed to work just as well as having a card to mail back – you at the very least save the postage.
