Are you set on that church/pastor specifically? You do have other options.
If you want a church wedding just go to another church and say that your usual church can’t accommodate your wedding and ask if they would be willing to marry you. Depending on the church the may readily agree, or may ask to get to know you better. I would recommend going in person so that you can get a feel for the pastor/church. It shouldn’t be a stressful experience, and if it is that’s probably a sign you might not want to get married there.
If you want that specific pastor/church, I would recommend going to the church in person (like after a service or something) and trying to talk to him. Or depending on how big the church is maybe you could talk to a secretary or deacon about setting up a meeting with him? If you can get him in his office he should be able to check the date while you’re there
And you could always have an alternative wedding setting, mine’s at a state park :)a

Why do you need to get married in a church, especially if you don’t attend?? Try considering other venue options. We didn’t marry in a church, but I can’t see anything wrong with approaching someone else and asking. Have you tried going straight to your pastor and asking directly?
