Tons of dresses have pickups or just plainer bottoms.  Also, you can look at all-lace gowns (warning: my FI hates them and I think a lot of men do).

Is there anything specific YOU do want from a dress? It could narrow it down. I am a HUGE Maggie fan and my dress is one of hers.

Im not a fan of ruffles or pickups either and went with an all lace gown… theres also the all satin dresses, chiffon, and even tulle dresses that you could go with..

Wait are we talking about normal horizontal ruffles (like tiers on a cake) or just like a skirt with insane amounts of material, because it looks like a broom? Because my SO has been known to describe a broomstick skirt as “ruffly”  (*facepalm*) and I wondered if any other guys did that…
