Basically, I love the sides. The front and back? Not so much. Here’s what I don’t like: it’s too flat and boring in the front, and I have so much hair that even though it’s not very long, the “bun” in back is HUGE!!! I also don’t like how stringy it is in the back, but I think that’s more her technique than anything.
The problem is, I have no idea what would work instead. What in the world can I have done with the front? I don’t have bangs, and they’re not an option for me because I have a cowlick front and center. 🙂
I want the “bun” to be lower in the back, but I’m wondering if there might be another way to style my hair that will be a little more under control and a little less big?

Could you add some height in the front and then maybe make the loops in the back bigger.

Agreed. Definitely try some southern bump action! You could also part your hair on the side and swoop some hair over as a fake bang to make it a bit fancier in the front. The bun itself is really pretty though. Your hair must be so long!

I think the back is fine but the front needs a little fancy flair.

I did this because I have a TON of hair and I have a cowlick as well. I wanted something controled and with volume. However, it doesn’t look enough like my insperation photo, I do like it a lot.

I agree. I dont think the back looks bad I just think you need a lot more heigth on top so its not so flat and prom like.
