I think these look pretty darn good! I like the natural nature of the photos and how it's a mixture of posed and candid. The question is, though, do these photos make you excited? If you get excited about a photographer's photos, then that's the one for you!
They look good to me, I booked based on how pretty my photographer's pictures were! Do you know how many weddings they have shot? It looked like there were less than 5 weddings featured on their website.
I personally don't love their work. The pictures don't seem much different than those a friend or relative might take...an untrained person. I don't find the pictures very creative...they don't excite me, or make me feel anything special. That's just my opinion, but that doesn't mean everyone will feel the same.
I don't love their work, but if YOU like them and they are in your budget I'd say at least talk to them. There are certainly "good" and "bad" photographers, but in the end what each person likes tends to be a bit of a style issue, and it's most important that YOU like what the photographer does.
I like a lot of their stuff - some is a tad more artistically blurred/streaked than I would like, but a lot more natural than most. Lighting is lovely, without the photoshopped lighting most people have now. Details, people, big picture - all the types of photos I'd want, all well balanced in terms of color, value (light/dark), and composition.
They don't seem to have shot too many weddings. The majority of their pictures are from the same two weddings and that same couple's engagement sessions.
There's nothing wrong with giving a new photographer a chance, but I think their prices are a tad higher than their skill set.
I think you'd be happier with someone else.
I think they are beautiful! I know this might not be entirely helpful, but I say trust your gut, if you really like them, go for it. If you are kind of if-fy on them, I would shop around and compare a little more. But in my artsy-fartsy eye... they are creative with depth of field, the exposure is correct, they are well balanced shots for the most part, they tell a story... I like them!
I agree with Sweetpea. They made good use of lighting in most photos (a couple I would have lightened up on photoshop) and they captured some great candid moments. I feel that they were able to capture the personality of the wedding, which is sometimes hard to do. I like that they did not over-do-it on the editing... the pictures all felt real to me.

hey Bees,
i would love it if any of you who really have an eye for photography, could take a look thru some of the pics on this website and tell me what you think. . .
is this considered good? average? amateur?
i know what I think looks pretty but I don't have knowledge about/have an eye for what necessarily makes 'good photograpy' and I don't want to make a mistake.
thanks in advance! :)
