We are supposed to meet with the event coordinator soon to let him know how we want the ballroom set up, but I have no idea! We are only renting 3/4 since there is a meeting in the back 1/4 the night before, and we want to be able to set up all the decorations that evening before the wedding. It’s plenty of space for us, but I was going to put the sweetheart table at the back wall until I realized those people sitting in Section A wouldn’t be able to see us around that corner. Where should I put the dance floor, photobooth, sweetheart table, and tables? (The buffet is going to be out in the hallway for the ease of the caterers to clean up and not interfere with the dancing, etc…) Can you help me?
It’s not the prettiest ballroom ever, but we are planning to dim the lighting, do some tulle draping, etc…

Can you put the sweetheart table between section B and C before where it says “buffet in hallway” Id put the cake table near wherever your sweetheart table is, and I would do dancing near the back of section D. Do you have a location for a cocktail reception? If so I would put the photobooth there or somewhere near the entrance.

There’s just not a lot of room there for a table. If you see the second picture, the door on the right and then the column, there is a door right on the other side of that column where the guests will exit to get their food and return in through the next door.
Gah…I am just not seeing a way to arrange things. Time to get creative…

Can you do it right next to the second door – that way you are sort of in the middle. Then you could put the dance floor on the far end near the kitchen, where it might be difficult to see you. You could also put the photobooth over there too.

Honestly, I think ballroom c is where you want the action.. the head table, the dance floor. this is the area that you should have the main events take place, because this is the area that everyone can see. don’t feel that you have to put everything at 90 degree angles either, you can angle the head table and/or dance floor. if you are doing a sweetheart table it can be between the “buffet” area and the dance floor in the corner of ballroom C. ballroom A & D should be for dinner seating only.
