Well, I have a few months to decide, but can’t decide on what I am going to do for favors.
1. Chocolate covered pretzel rods- I think they are the large rods and I would get 2 for each guest, $2 per each guest.
2. Candy buffet- which I think I can do for cheaper than the pretzel rods. I would want the buffet brought out mid-reception, rather than have it up the entire time so people don’t chow down during the cocktail hour!
Here’s why I can’t decide. If we do a candy buffet, we can probably get a smaller cake since I’m guessing people would eat a lot of the candy. So I can save money there. BUT… I am now thinking about the photobooths! I think they are such cute ideas. It may not be in the budget anyway though. If it was, then I would still plan on giving away a favor in addition to the photo the guests keep. But worried that would be too overboard.

I don’t think it’d be too overboard to do a candy buffet and a photobooth (although to save money you could certainly cut out the candy).
I would be hesitant to plan on less cake because of the candy bar….at least in my circle, people LOVE wedding cake, and I’m not sure the take home candy would result in less cake being eaten.

I plan on asking the peron doing my cake what he recommends as well. I have been to 2 wedding with candy buffets. At one, we just pretty much took the candy home as a “favor” at another, people were literally filling up plates of the candy and bringing it back to the table. Ha!

My bridesmaid just went to a wedding where the favors were magnetic photoframes, the kind that are flat and made for the fridge. They had the type of photobooth where the pictures printed immediately and the guest copy fit into the favor frame. Everyone seemed to like it, and the bride printed out a cute piece of paper and put it in the frame explaining the process.
