Ok so I have a dresser and a closet. I plan on putting in the dresser the following : plain onesies, pjs, pants and pants. I want to hang everything else. The dresser will also function as changing table and misc storage so I don’t have that much space in it. I plan to keep sizes up to 6 months in it. I will store everything else. My question comes to closet storage. We have a TON of clothes.. Lots of hand me downs. Other closet will be packed if I keep sip to 12 months in it, and I will need to buy a ton of hangers. This is my first child so I just don’t know what to expect as far as how fast they grow or how I should organize the closet. Should I keep up to 12 months? Or only up to 9 and store the rest? I know when it comes down to it it all depends on my space n storage situation but I’m just looking for what other people do! Thanks.

I would hang everything up to 6 months. Bigger sizes you can pack away and take out later.
My daughter was born in April. I had her summer clothes up to 6 mo in her closet. Towards the end of Aug. I brought out her 6-12 fall/winter clothes. I went to either target or walmart and bought tons of hangers. She is 5 and I still use them. If you run out of room on the rod you can always buy a shower curtain rod that expands and hang it under the first rod of clothes. Baby clothes are so small you will still have plenty or rooom underneath.
Under my daughter’s clothes I put a hamper and a cheap three drawer cart. I used that for socks, burp cloths etc. Her dresser was used for blankets and some clothes.

I kept all the pjs and onsies in our four door dresser. I arranged them from 0-3…3-6…6-9 and 9-12 months. the stuff in the dresser was at home clothes. the stuff i hung up was fancier outerwear …cute outfits. at walmart and target there is a diaper caddy that hangs off the dresser…it holds diapers…wipes…lotion…powder and whatever else u might need. u can velcro it to dresser and hang it from tacks.

I see a lot of women on you tube keeping only the smaller sizes on hand, like newborn to 6 months and then storing the rest in plastic bins. That’s if you have a ton of clothes. I don’t have that much… I have enough. I hate to have too much clothes and then baby outgrows it too quickly to wear or I forget to put it on because I forgot about it. Withthis baby, I plan to get a closet system (a wardrobe/armoire type thing) withhanging space and drawers and then I also want to get a small dresser. I think that will suffice. I plan to hang up all outfits and sleepers. Then I’ll put onsies and such in the drawers. I am storing bigger sizes from my younger son for now (like size 2 and up).
