That was a bit of concern for me, as well when I was looking for a photographer. I don't know of a photographer that specializes in African Americans, but my suggestion is when you look at their site, do they have any AAs on the site. Or better yet, on their blog.
What's your budget? And what style of photography are you looking for? I looked at over 300 photographers and may have some recs for you.
ETA: My photog is Keith Hammock Photography.
My budget is about $2000 and I'm not familiar with a photographer's style per se but I know I want a lot of candid and fun pictures - different angles, etc. I look forward to your recommendations!

My absolute favorite photographer ever is rossoscarknight.com. He is amazing I haven't seen anyone elses work that is quite as good.
I don't specialize in African American weddings per se, but I photograph plenty of them and I happen to be black. I'm just curious, have you seen professional photographers photograph black couples badly or maybe just bad snaps from family & friends?

Hi! Does anyone know of any photographers in the Atlanta area that specializes in AA brides? My wedding is an evening event and I'd hate for the photographer to not be experienced in filming brides of color and my pictures come out horrible. Recommendations please!
