Okay soooooo I have just started looking at rings recently and I found one that I really love from Costco:
I’ve heard they have high quality rings at good prices. It is also very important to me that the diamond is conflict-free, which they do. I would feel comfortable ordering from them because of their excellent return policy in case any problems came up down the road.
I have also been looking on etsy and found a ring that I LOVE!
I am hesitant to buy from etsy because it is all online and I wouldn’t be able to take it in to a store if I had problems. The diamond in the etsy ring is not as good clarity SI-1 ( compared to the costco VS-2) but the colour is better G-H (compared to the costco I). It is from RosadosBox. Has anyone had experience with this company? I would love to hear your experiences with this seller or costco for that matter. All the info helps:) thanks so much ladies!!! Also if you have any pics to add that would be great!!
I have a sizzle 4.5 finger…which ring do you guys think???

I like the etsy one better. If you add a poll, you might get more responses.

@kmarie84: I got my wedding band from Rosados Box! I had a fabulous experience working with Shirley and my ring turned out just perfect! I’m getting married next month so I can’t attest to the longevity of the ring but it was impeccably made and the communication back and forth was really great! My ring was custom made and she sent me 3-D images throughout the process!
oh, and I happen to like the Rosados box ring you posted 🙂 I like the milgrain and details better than the Costco one!

@kmarie84: I don’t really like the Costco one… I think the band is too wide.
I love the Etsy one, it’s more delicate and lovely. I get your concern about not being able to bring it to a store though.. But you can buy ring insurace, if you’re worried (http://wedding.theknot.com/getting-engaged/engagement-rings/articles/engagement-ring-insurance-101.aspx?MsdVisit=1)
I don’t know anything about diamond clarity so I’m 99% sure I wouldn’t notice the difference. And I don’t think most people would notice either- they’re just going to see a beautiful ring on a beautiful bride-to-be (and then wife!).
My vote is with the Etsy ring! 🙂

Etsy one is so stunning and unique! It looks like the store has good ratings, too which is good.

I talked to Shirley from RosadoBox she said it would be $4180 to get it made in platinum with a 0.9 carat VS-2 diamond F colour…

Just an FYI – Rosado Box is an esty reseller – meaning the rings are CAD/CAM mass production is mass produced in either China or India. Lots of esty sellers do this, though its supposedly not allowed. If you really like the ring I promise you can find the same ring cheaper in ebay. It seems, for whatever reason, people who sell the same stock on ebay do it at significantly cheaper prices than Etsy. (Prob b/c the etsy sellers are trying to pretend theirs is some kind of handcrafted studio work)
studio jewelers can’t handcraft rings wiall the micro pave or invisible melee settings – because it requires CAM manufacturing to produce the prongs and other attributes which require metal that is only microns thick.
Ive seen a few Bees get quite upset because they paid for a ring on etsy thinking it was a handcrafted ring – only to spot the exact ring on ebay at half the cost. (Lord of the Gems on Ebay carries a lot of these styles ) it’s also good to check the big online sites (like Alibaba) to see what the big Chinese jewelry manufacturers are currently producing and see what the costs are direct – it will give you a pretty good idea what you should pay. I would also advise against buying a center stone from these sites – best to source your own. The quality can be sketchy ometimes.s

I voted for the etsy ring because I love the look of round stones with cushion halos! I also like that the band is unique. Sorry, I don’t have any experience with either company!

@MirnaMinkoff: would they use conflict diamonds then? I believe they offer a GIA certification for the diamond. Now I’m hesitant to go with this seller…

The Etsy ring is so pretty and feminine, I love it 🙂 cant go wrong with either of those rings tho

I love the look of the primary stone and the band on the Etsy one. The Costco option isn’t bad either, just more of a fan of the Etsy ring!!
