Hi there! New bee here. We got engaged at Christmas and are getting married near where I grew up in Sonoma, CA.
I was hoping for some help envisioning my ceremony site layout. Luckily, I am not worried at all about the reception as it will be held at a restaurany nearby with a very experienced and helpful coordinator. They have ceremonies at the restaurant location, but I just felt there wasn’t enough room there to have a proper set up. This freaks me out a little since originially I really wanted both to take place in the same location and I am doing this all remotely without a planner…I would love your suggestions!

We are thinking about getting married under that big tree with chairs around. We think there will be 120 or so people. Here are my biggest questions:
-Where would you put the “welcome table”? Any other tables needed at this site? One for gifts/cards?
-We were thinking about creating an “arch” with fabric draped over the tree (lots of images on pinterest). Anyone had success with this?
-How would you set up the chairs? Will 120 folding chairs likely fit in the area between the tree and fountain?
-If it rains, where would you put up a tent (no stakes because it’s a CA state park)?
-Would the chairs look better set up in the grassy area?
Thanks in advance for your feedback!
