I am having my ceremony and reception in the same venue. It is a 6,000 sq foot ballroom with original hardwood floors, 30 foot floor-to-ceiling windows and large chandeliers in downtown Dallas. I have been thinking since I chose my venue of how to seperate the ceremony and reception spaces. We had an idea to do a wall of iron candle holders but that would have been ridiculously expensive! it is 68.5 feet long! Then we thought about doing palettes stacked on one another to create a large wall where we could put pictures and such, but they are way too heavy and would scratch the hardwood floors and would take too much time to tear down. Then we decided on draping, but all the quotes I have gotten have been for over $2,000! They are trying to charge me so many fees- Friday delivery fee, 6th floor delivery fee, and after midnight teardown fee-all ontop of an already 15% setup and teardown fee! I refuse to pay that much for freakin’ fees!! HELP!
