So my fiance has 6 groomsman. Prior to even asking all of them, I had purchased Flasks and a small bottle of booze for them. Now the dilemma. One of them is a recovering alcoholic. Do I give him the flask, and no bottle? I dont want to center him out. Or do i get him something totally different. and If so what do i get? ive been searching on the internet.. but alot of gifts seem to have to do with alcohol.

I’d try to return the flasks and go with something totally different for everyone. Singling him out would not be very good at all! I’ve seen very nice shaving kits for groomsmen and I think that’s what my FI is going with for his gifts to his guys.

I would not get an alcoholic a flask.
If people know he’s an alcoholic, they will not be surprised that you get him a different gift.
If they don’t know he is an alcoholic, they will just assume that he doesn’t drink.

I would get him something totally different, I would try to give him a nice leather wallet with his initial branded into it.

I wouldn’t give him the flask, personally, it’s basically a gift that screams PUT ALCOHOL IN ME! :p
I hear you on everything being alcohol related – my husband has a bunch of random mugs and drink stuff monogrammed with other people’s names from weddings he was in so he flat out refused to do that! He gave his guys Leatherman multi-tools and they all loved them and I think they actually get some use out of them.

Absolutely do not get him a flask, bottle of booze or no! I’m sure there’s a bunch of other cool stuff you can find that isn’t alcohol related, just dig 🙂
