I have been working pretty darn hard to make the music at the wedding fit "us" so now when it comes to the really important songs for the ceremony I am a bit unsure.

I really like Long Island Sound  by Beirut for the girls to walk in to:

and I was thinking for me Scenic World by Beirut: (I think I am set on me walking to this)

But how do I segue from whatever I pick for the bridesmaids walking to the song I walk in to?

And I am torn because I really love the following songs for the b-maids to walk in to. Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World, Falling Slowly, A great Cover of How deep is Your Love, and somewhere only we know by Keane.

Please help and give me your honest opinions.

How can you POSSIBLY go wrong with a Bee Gees cover? I've heard the "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" cover at a few weddings, and while super pretty, I might go for something different.

I think "Long Island Sound" has a great kind of quirky, upbeat rhythm which would work really well as a processional. Ditto for "Scenic World". These are both by the same band, so I think that will make it easier to transition them. If you know anyone good with music, see what they can do for fading one out and the other in.

"Somewhere only we know" might work better as a recessional. But I love that song also.

When I was trying to figure out processionals, I liked what we picked for the BMs better than anything I could find for me. I picked "Radio Ballet" by Eluvium, and "Avril 14th" by Aphex Twin. I loved the Eluvium so much, we decided to just play it in it's entirety, so there's no different processional for me.

They're pretty sedate, but we're getting married in a Catholic church, so this was about all I could do to get away from The Wedding March or Pachabel's Canon (horf).

Thanks for the encouragement, totally appreciative. The Recessional song is going to be the John Lennon song Real Love performed by Regina Spektor. I was at first going to go with a Queen sond, Find Somebody to Love, but the Spektor song just felt right.

    Thanks again.
