Hi Bees – I have a couple BMs wearing a one-shoulder dress and I’ve always thought that generally the look is better without a necklace. But, I’ve found a necklace that I love for them – my colors are orange/peach and teal, and this adds a little peach to their look that’ll match their bouquets. I’m wondering since it’s so simple if it may actually work with the one shoulder. Thoughts?

i think it will look lovely. the necklace is very delicate, not some huge statement piece. love your colors btw 🙂
EDIT: also, it won’t clash because the one shoulder part is all the way to the side, more like an actually strap. usually one shoulder dresses go across and cover half your chest and would look bad with a necklace

The necklace is dainty, so I think it will look fine with the one shoulder dress.

That necklace is simple and elegant. I normally wouldn’t wear a necklace with a one shoulder dress. I had my bridesmaids in a one shoulder too and non of them wore a necklace because they felt it was not necessary.
The necklace you chose is quite pretty and not really a huge piece that would be too distracting. i say go for it 🙂
PS: I had a similar colour scheme: tiffany blue, red, orange and white. They look so great together!

That’s a beautiful necklace but I would still avoid it with a one shoulder. Can you wrap it around their wrists to make a sweet and dainty charm-like bracelet? Or maybe it’s available in bracelet form. Or in earring form.

I think the necklace is so delicate and dainty that it would work, even with the one shoulder dress.

I am almost always in the no necklace camp with the one shoulder dress, but that necklace is so dainty I think it would definately work.

Thanks for all the opinions, ladies! I was hoping that it was small enough that it would work. Like I said, I just love how it’s a subtle pop of the accent color which I think could be really cute.
@lolaswann: Thanks! I hadn’t thought about the way the strap lays but that’s true – it’s far enough over that the necklace hopefully shouldn’t get in the way.
@QueenG: Love that color scheme too!
@pixiefatale: The artist makes a bracelet, too, which looks just like the necklace, so I’m considering that, too. I think the necklace is more noticeable and the bracelet might just be too hidden for the color to even be picked up on, but it is an option. Thanks for the feedback. 🙂

I think they would look awesome!

I think the necklace would look lovely with the dress as long as it doesn’t come down too far. If you have it hit to just about the collarbone area I think it would look fantastic.

@star_dust: That’s my thought, too. It comes on a 17″ chain, which is pretty short. It can be shortened if I want to so I’m debating on 16 or 17″ if I get it.

I love your colors! And I think the necklace would look great with the dress. And if I received one of those, I’d totally wear it again.

@iheartsquishy: Woohoo, now that’s what I want to hear! I would love for them to be able to wear it again.
