Hello bees, I’m seeking dress help, please see my comments below on why – you are all so helpful and I appreciate it tremendously….In addition to many photos I have explained the main reason for my indecision….
How I got here?? I have tried on over 80 dresses. I decided on the Enzoani Blue Dabra, but couldn’t get the Dabra in time for my wedding, so I bought the S.T. Jillian. Then I found the Enzoani Fatima which is basically the same minus the belt and it’s higher quality (not the “Blue” range). So here I am, TWO dresses! and way over budget : (I’m 34, first marriage, Church wedding, reception at a resort, aug 31st wedding in Ontario, Canada (could be 22C, could be 35C!!)
***THIS IS WHY I AM TORN***:
1. Sophia Tolli Jillian – Love this dress because it is SOOO figure flattering, makes me look very curvy and accentuates small waist. BUT my issue is that I’m not a big fan of the lace and assymetry as the lace on the enzoani is what I like better. I will be taking it in and remove the scalloped lace at neckline. I do like the sparkle but will be toning it down/removing some.
2. Enzoani Fatima – the size of the skirt is much much bigger than the Jillian and no assymetry. I love this dress coz it’s simply gorgeous, fairy tale like, and makes an impact! I love the quality of the lace, which is stunning and the dress is very well made. It has a huge train and full skirt….However, it doesn’t do much for my figure compared to the Jilliian. The seamstress thinks the fatima is more flattering on size 4 and up, it’s “too much dress for my frame”. She says she cannot get it to hug my waist unless she changes to a corset back. Also It’s pinched down for more sweetheart-ness
Note: So both dresses below are too big that’s why I’m holding the fabric at the back . I have tiny bones, slightly under size 0 and these are size 2 and 4. The Fatima is a label 4 and it’s clipped as well. (I’ve tagged “Dabra” too since its almost the same and dabra is better known). Both will fit tighter to my body when altered.
Thank you so much for your comments and votes, I am so appreciative!!
1. Sophia Tolli
2. ENZOANI FATIMA:

@hockeygirl13: I voted #2 because I like the fullness in the skirt, but honestly those two dresses are so much alike I had trouble telling them apart.

I prefer #1 honestly. Saying that, it took me a few minutes looking at them both to decide.

I actually think the Fatima is more flattering on you but the Tolli gives me this woodland fairytail feel. Where is your wedding and what is the theme? That might help in deciding. Both are gorgeous on you so I understand you dilemma. As you know my dress is kind of a mesh of the 2 so than biast as I love the look of both but if I had to decide right now I would go for the FatIma.

Flip a coin. When its in the air, you will know which one you want to pick!

#1 !!!! You’re glowing, I love it on you. and hey I mean… if you don’t want it I’ll take it 😛 !

I agree with the above. I think Fatima is more flattering on you. I do think the Jillian catches my eye more and has more impact (I think the asymmetry is beautiful!). Fatima is youthful, whimsical, fits a garden wedding whereas the Jillian to me makes you look more mature, modern, and more ballroom style.
My dress was also by Enzoani and I was in between it (Farlow) and Fatima… I have to say that my seamstress was able to take in the waist and hip of my size 2 dress no problem without changing it to a corset and I did not feel overwhelmed by my dress and my skirt was even fuller than Fatima 🙂 Since you have a few things you don’t like about Jillian, that is something to consider too.

@hockeygirl13: I adore how you look in the Sophia Tolli! My first thought was: she ‘s beautiful followed by what a gorgeous dress. In the Enzoani, I notice the dress first and not you. You shine in the Sophia Tolli.

Id go the Enzoani Fatima mainly because the bodice doesnt quite seem to be as long as the other so would be a little easier for movement & when you need to go to the bathroom!

I like the Enzoani best! With the statement belt!

Honestly, they are both beautiful and I had to choose “toss a coin.” I am wearing a similar dress (Wtoo Hera) and love the style of the first one, but totally understand your problem with it not being symmetrical, that would throw me off too. I definitely think it sounds like you love the second dress more, and so I think you should choose that one, BUT both look great, so you cant go wrong!

I like the Tolli. I think it does sit on your curves more flatteringly. The really quite like the asymmetry, it gives it a more unique, slightly whimsical feel. I think also that it looks best without a belt. The belts just cover up how nice and little your waist it.

@hockeygirl13: well dam girl with a body like that you could seriously wear anything, but onto the question it’s a hard pick but I’m going with dress 2:)))
