Ivory and off-white should be pretty close!

My Pronovias dress is the same color and I bought an ivory veil.

@BeautyBox:  Yes, I bought my veil from a place in Brooklyn that had my dress.

I hate to make things more complicated for you, but I’m struggling with this same problem with my Pronovias gown.  Some of the ivory veils we looked at definitely didn’t match well enough for me to be willing to wear them with my dress (same with some of the “white” veils). I think “light ivory” may work, but I wouldn’t be confident enough in ivory matching that I’d buy something on the internet. You’ll need to hold it up to your dress. Trying to find a matching veil and sash is making me wish I had gone for a true white or ivory dress!

@BeautyBox:  I’m looking for used veils at this point, because my wedding date is 2 1/2 months out, which is too soon to expect something from Pronovias to arrive. I’m looking for used veils from all the sister brands of Pronovias. Searching these key words: San Patrick, La Sposa, White One, Atelier Diagonal / Avenue Diagonal, Manuel Mota, Elie Saab. Someone on another thread (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/accessories-to-match-off-white-color-of-pronoviassan-patrickla-sposa-gowns#axzz2WfaFcPrs) suggested I also look at White by Vera Wang. I’ve also noticed that several Pronovias brides selling their dresses are also selling Enzoani veils, so I’m wondering if that means their colors match well. If I don’t find something from a sister brand or Pronovias, I’ll probably end up buying something labeled “light ivory” – I think that works better than white, ivory, or even off-white. I’ll try to remember to keep you posted.

@BeautyBox:  To be on the safe side, I ended up ordering a used Pronovias veil and sash. That way I could be sure the colors matched – but not pay new Pronovias prices. I received the items and think I’m in good shape!

Hey BeautyBox and all you other Duende Bees…. I am conflicted about the veil and the sash too. I am also leaning towards a drop down long and simple veil (trying to find an ivory color), I think it will look beautiful with the Duende. About the Sash… do you have any pictures of the sash you’re talking about? I found this sash on the pronovias website but the store I bought my dress from doesn’t have it and I wonder how it will look on. Have you seen this:

And what do you ladies think about it? 🙂 Thank you!
