I sent response cards, even though I had a general idea of who was coming and who wasn't.
The cards were helpful to weed out who is truly coming and who isn't. When I first announced that I was going to have a destination wedding, several family members said they'd go -- the only way we found out they weren't coming was because of the response cards.
i sent response cards to guests to get an idea of when they are arriving (week before or after) and the hotel that they plan to stay at.
also, we are planning some activities for our guests days leading up to the wedding, so we want to get a head count of the anticipated turnout. ooh, and we included transporation option so we know the size of bus to rent to take guests from their hotels to the ceremony/reception site.

Hey ladies,
I am hoping some of you can help me. Do you send response cards for a destination wedding, even if you know who is coming and who is not. I didn't know if was the "rule".
Thanks!
