Love the pomander ball too! Maybe at her age a mini bouquet would suit her or could she hold something with the ring?
Or give the Ring Bearer the Ring and have the FG hold the sign! =)

I have an 11-year old niece, and I think she would feel more childish blowing bubbles than she would tossing petals. Just being honest. :)
If she was the same age or close to his age, I was going to suggest they carry the sign together; however, since she is 11, and I don't know what your theme is, what about 3 balloons or a lantern?
I like the idea CupCake Meg proposed about a small bouquet. You could almost treat her more like a jr. bridesmaid...
The sign idea for the FG could work too but isn't it sooooo much cuter on the little boy!! I'm lost!!
Flowergirls typically carry flowers of some kind, hence the name. She can carry a pomander, a bouquet, or toss petals.
@Ember78: I'm aware of the name but as you know, nowadays anything goes and I was just asking for an alternative to throwing petals...

So I am in Love with this little boy carrying the Here Comes the Bride sign...and plan on having my 4 year old ring bearer carry this instead of the typical pillow, but I'm stuck on what the Flower girl would carry, she's 11 years old, I think too old to toss petals...can you help me decide and also let me know what you think of the RB carrying the sign.

Blowing bubbles and maybe give little tubes of bubbles for the guest to help her when she comes down..?? Any other thoughts?
