So.. my engagement ring came as a set, but I have my grandmothers ring I want to customize and use as my band. Should I go ahead and wear the set as an “engagement set” and the other ring would be my band? I dont know how the people around me would act being that I have only been wearing the one so far. Any advice would be great 🙂

A lot of women wear two bands, one on either side of their e-ring. Does your grandmother’s ring fit the style of your set?

@Mrs. Fireworks:Well Im getting it customized to. Do you think it would be weird or untraditional to wear the set in the pic just while im engaged and then add the other ring when I get married?

What a beautiful set!! I say bling it up and wear the set while you’re engaged and add the custom band when you’re married!

@Big Truck:Im so confused about it all, I want the band he bought me to be special, but I want to wear either the customized band now or the one he bought me so ONE can be my band at wedding. But I just dont know what people will say, Im trying to please everyone and its just not working!

I’m in the same boat as you. Here is a pic of me with my set…but the band isn’t my wedding band, since our wedding isn’t until next year. At that time, we’ll get customised bands that are more plain. I’m thinking a twig ring or maybe a white gold band with a birthstone gypsy set on the inside of it. Then, I will wear all three rings. Right now, I wear both rings happily. I like the way they sparkle and since my hands are large it doesn’t look too over the top.
