My cousins went to the one in Negril Jamaica and loved it, I haven’t been personally I find you pay more just for the name.

Boxerlover24:  That is where we are thinking, but the dates are booking up fast for when we were thinking of going and the rom type that I have had my eye on. I was looking at La Toc.

I loved Sanda’s Royal Bahamian, but if I was going to do a different one, I would have tone La Toc in St Lucia.  The stay at one, play at three looks really cool.   Plus, DH loves golfing, and La Toc has a golf course.

HoneyBee827:  We stayed at La Toc- now if you are used to the Atlantic ocean you are fine to swim there but is rockier than the Grande, we swam every day at la toc but they did have the ‘red no swim ‘ flag up but it really wasnt bad- Great restaurants at la toc and the golf course is there

I loved La Toc but the Grande has super carm water ..its like a pool..you can go to all resorts on the shuttle so we stayed at la toc but spent two days on the the grande on their beach. If you are really wanting to do water sports stay at the grande

HoneyBee827:  We went to the sandals resort in Ocho Rios Jamaica and it was by far the best vacation we’ve ever had. it’s called Royal Plantation, it’s pricey, but for a honeymoon it was totally worth it. A couple we met there have been to a bunch of Sandals resorts and absolutely raved about the one in St. Lucia, they strongly encouraged us to go there next. A different couple we met (at the airport) have been to the Whitehouse every year for 11 years, and completely love it too. I dont really think you can go wrong with Sandals!

we’re going to Sandals Whitehouse Oct 26!! We’ve never done an all-inclusive or tropical stuff so we didn’t want to spend tons on like, Tahiti, but didn’t want to do something a little too cheap and increase risks of getting sick or crummy rooms or whatever. I think you do pay more for the name Sandals, but I also think it’s worth it. It’s given me peace of mind and we’re super excited! We really wanted Grenada (balcony over the edge pool!?!? YES) but it was almost double Whitehouse so we figure that’ll be an anniversary trip… don’t want our first trip to be the best and make everything else look worse!! lol

we also are not doing the butler service, i was tempted and read lots on it (trip advisor etc.) and it definitely does not seem worth it! but if it’s in your budget and you want a huge splurge, go for it 🙂

ps if you’re stuck on those few, why not contact a travel agent (it’s free) and ask for their opinions and explain what you’re looking for? that might help narrow it down!

My best friend just got back from St. Lucia – she said it was gorgeous and a lot of fun. Like a giant party with all the other newlyweds at the Sandals.
