I think it looks great. The setting is a bit high though. Does it get caught in your pocket or anything?

Love it just like that!

LOL @ scared to commit but not the groom! I still haven’t committed to my rings after 3 years and plan to change them up again – but I’m like you – the man is a KEEPER AS IS!! 🙂

The setting is beautiful and I love yellow gold.  However, pave rings with everyday wear tend to result in the loss of the small diamonds.  Because there is such little gold holding the small diamonds in, any contact (washing your hands, digging through your purse, etc) may dislodge a diamond.  So, if you are ok with a potentially high maintenance piece and are willing to pay or insure the replacement of the diamonds, then go for it.

@cuppeeecakes:  I love the setting. It’s very unique. RE: being scared to commit, you can always change it in a few years!!

@cuppeeecakes:  unless you’re contemplating a bezel setting, there really isn’t much height you’re going to be able to shave off with a diamond that size. That being said, the present setting is STUNNING and I’d focus on choosing a band to match, keeping engagement ring exactly as it is, forever!!!

I have a pave ring like yours, with pave all over as well, and I’m very active. Have not lost a diamond yet, but the cost for the small diamonds in the band is so minimal I don’t worry about it too much. Just make sure your jeweler checks your ring semi-annually if possible. Your ring looks like it’s set pretty high! I have a cathedral setting as well, but mine sits lower than yours which you can usually do with a cathedral setting with basket. Your prongs just need to be shorter and the arch angles smaller to set it lower, but I think your ring is pretty as well. You’ll probably get used to wearing it after a few months!

Other than it being set really high (IMO), I love the look of your ring as is 🙂
