my sister is in the navy and getting married. this leaves me as her current internet connection and bridal consultant ;). her dream dress is the alfred angelo bella swan twilight replica style # 8400 which has been discontinued. i have only been able to find size 10s which will be far too big and im afraid taking in that much would look funny. i would need a size 4.,6,or even 8. if anyone knows where i can find one please message me back.

I recommend having Jasmines making it! They do great work and they made my veil!

Are you *sure* the 10 will be too big?
I ask because bridal sizing is notoriously out-of-whack with street sizing. A bridal 10 is probably about a 6 in street clothes – and it’s not a bad thing to have a little extra material to work with for alterations.
If you have the opportunity to do so, I would get your sister’s measurements, not her clothing size, and compare them with the measurements of the actual gown. They might not be as wildly far off as you think.

@lipsmackerin: Another recommendation for Jasmines Bridal Shop. Do a search and read some great reviews and see some amazing ‘actual’ dresses.

@lipsmackerin: Have you checked preownedweddingdresses and Recycled Bride?
Also, I agree with PP, unless your sister is a size 0, I think getting her a bridal size 10 would actual be better, than you can alter it to her exact measurements.

I think Alfred Angelo runs closer to street size though… I got a size 0 AA (bm)dress and it STILL needee to be altered down. I agree with the other girls, though, check with James from Jasmine’s Bridal Shop, they do amazing work for the price and it’s made-to-measure, so likely no alterations would be needed.

Size 10 may be the size you need. Wedding dresses always run small. I tried on many dresses in my regular everyday size and they didn’t fit. Better off getting the 10 and a little big and take it in
a little, than running too small. It’s easier to remove fabric, than remove.

Wedding dresses run small if you dont already own designer evening gowns. So like most posters said she will likely need a larger gown. For me this was not the case I get to cut 2 sizes out of a 4 because the dress did not come smaller :/

Alfred Angelo tends to run closer to actual size (I’m a street size 14 and my dress from there is a 14.) I would try preownedwedding dresses or see about getting a replica made.
