Help! Sol238a v/s sol251posted 10 months ago in Rings

xmisame : I find that it looks very proportionate due to the fact that since the band is knife edge head on the band doesn’t look or seem 2.5mm. It looks very delicate and balanced but this too may be in the eye of the beholder. I do believe 8mm is like the “little black dress” size for stones, like a 1ct size it looks perfect on almost any finger size. Don’t let the band width discourage you, just like the tiffany&co classic setting the 238a model is gorgeous and classic. I think today’s trends lend to the fact that thinner is better when it comes to bands but the knife edge will give you the thin look you are going for head on but the sturdiness to make the ring last because of the depth of the knife edge.

MrsJumboKappo : Hi…this thread is very old…lol. I ended up getting the sol238a in rose gold with white prongs last December in the h&a unbranded near colorless. I love it and wear it daily. It’s very much like the classic tiffany&co and I was explaining to
xmisame : that the band on the 238a is very delicate even though it measures at 2.5mm.
