Welcome to the hive and congratulations on this part of the process!

While I think that halo is beautiful, I personally would go with the solitaire. I like bigger size, especially with “shrinkage” and I think that solitaires will be forever classic and you can always add a halo to it when you have a bit more money. And, you can do tons of things with wedding bands with solitaires – pretty much anything would match!

Welcome to the hive! I have a halo, which I love because it gives a vintage look that I love. But I have always loved solitares as well. What is your style like, which one fits you better? Whatever one you feel drawn to is the right one 🙂

I love how classy solitaires look. Of course mine is a solitaire, I just couldn’t picture myself at 40, 50…80 years old with a halo.

@Kierra619:  Welcome ! I personally have a 1 carat round solitare with side stones and I am in love with it. But wither way you can’t go wrong!!

@Kierra619:  I love round stones too! I’m obsessed. There won’t be a difference in durability with 4 or 6 I think it’s more personal preference. I went with 6 prongs because it keeps the round shape of the diamond. IMO When there are 4 prongs it squares it off.

I alway vote solitaire, they are so classic and then you can pair it with almost any band you want!

It depends what you want!! I vote solitaire, they are classic and won’t ever go out of style. I also agree with PP that its easier to match wth a band! Let us know what you decide 😉

I love the halo you picked out but if I had to choose between .75 and 1.5….1.5 solitaire!  As long as they are of similar quality.  Quality before quantity. 🙂

@Kierra619:  I was torn between halo and solitaire, and ended up going with solitaire. It’s more classic and timeless. Mine is 4 prong, and I’m certainly not the most graceful person. So far, no issues with its durability! My center stone is a 1.25 round, for reference.

@Kierra619:  you have to go with what is “YOU”

I love halos, but they are not me, it doesn’t fit my personality.

Go with what you think represents you
