I am a mother planning a wedding for my son and his bride, and I need some help or some pointers since this is the first one of my children to wed. We are doing a enchanted forest theme wedding. The wedding colors are royal blue and white, and black. (the groom and groommens will wear black) .
The bride said something about wanting royal blue satin runner on her table, but how would I corporate the satin into a otherwise more natural enviorment ? We are going to have lots of greenery and plants, and we are doing branches of treess, and real log planters on table. The table cloths are white. If you have any adice or pictures to show me something like this can work.. My only idea was to wrap the edges in burlap, to bring back the natural color (bark, branch colors). And also what can we do to her bridal table which is different than the other tables.. Not same runner.. ? Her table i could probably make the satin work , maybe but not all the other tables. Please helo the wedding is in a couple of months and they kinda of sprung it on us, so I am rushing around with my head cut off lol. I did think of moss runners? would that work with the blue though or make it wierd, too fancy verses natural?

@diane.b.potter: First of all Congrats. I think something like this could work. Putting the satin runner in the center.

@diane.b.potter: I think you might be over thinking it. It can still be enchanted forest-y with out *every*single*piece* of decor being a literal plant- you want it to still look like a wedding, not a banquet hall from The Hobbit or something, so I say give the bride her royal blue table runner on the wedding table. She is the queen after all right? The the satin is like a royal banner in the enchated forest. Works for me- no one but you and her will really care!
Heres a wedding I found, obviously the flowers are more garden less forest, but I think it would look nice with the centerpiece you posted above!

@diane.b.potter: Here’s a post from the Bee that shows a mock up using blue satin table runner and wood candles.

Did the bride choose the color palette and the theme? If so, it is on her that the royal blue satin runner is difficult to use with an enchanted forest theme.
I would just do what she wants, given that she chose the colors and the wedding is this spring. Use the royal blue satin runner, then cover it up as much as possibe with your plants, wood planters, candles etc.
If you could persuade her to use something other than satin, you can get colored burlap to bring in the blue. You can get solid blue burlap or burlap trimmed with blue.

I really like the blue ribbon one, and i never knew it came in blue.. I will show her for sure 🙂 She is a young bride and hasn’t been to many weddings.

Yes that just looks funny to me.Not so much color as the shiny texture. I think these might work better . What do you think, of course the America, wouldn’t be on the one photo .

The bride decided to change the white table cloths, and go with royal blue in the picture above and burlap runners. She loves the color contrast on those and so does the groom. but thier head table is going to be all white, this is what they want .
