Why not use the tea infuser, and then buy a cheaper, non-branded tea tray shaped like a tea pot instead. I found these plain, white, ceramic tea bag rests for $2
This is kind of totally different, but I was thinking about giving out this tea as favors. It's loose tea pressed into the shape of hearts! Sorry it doesn't help your dilemma but I wanted to share these cuties with a fellow tea lover. :)

By the way, I think the infuser by itself is fine. Once your guests make their cup of tea, they're going to toss away the infuser (it's a one-time use, right?) and then they'll be stuck with a tray they don't have any use for, and they'll probably throw that away as well...
I think the infuser alone is just fine.
I agree with the poster who said that unless people decide to keep drinking that brand of tea, they'll be stuck with the tray that's obviously very specific.
Thanks for the suggestions so far. My wallet is appreciating these comments! Haha!
The tray seems a little silly to me. I love Tea Forte though.
i went to a wedding that gave just the teaForte packet.. i think it was like.. 2 per person... forgot
but it was nice to drink tea. i dont need more useless stuff at my house so getting something like this is somewhat practical (if you are ok w/ people tossing your favor away)
Another tea lover here!
I think the forte on it's own is fine!
I'm doing round tea bags in a silver tin. Nothing too exciting lol
Okay great! I think I'll order the personalized stickers for the infusers and call it a day. I'm a musician, so I am doubly in love with Tea Forte for its musical references. :) Thanks girls, I think I have a decision to go with just the tea bag itself! That also just saved me heaps of money, so yay! :)
I am doing these same tea infusers and trays as my bridal shower favor. (less than 20 people- and it is a tea theme luncheon). But if you are planning to give to all of your wedding guests, I agree with only the tea sachets themselves.
@808mjm202: Ooh, what a beautiful bridal shower idea! :) Yeah, I'm not buying 150 tea trays. But yours are going to look beautiful!
I would be super excited to get your favor - both the hubby and I both love tea!

So I've known since the first time I saw Tea Forte that I wanted to use the infusers as my wedding favor. However, I just had the realization that it would be MUCH too expensive for me to get both the infusers AND the trays. So, my question to my fellow Bees is two part:
1) Would the infuser alone be cute enough?
2) If the infuser needs a tray to make the wedding favor complete, does anyone have any cost cutting solutions for me? (currently the trays are selling in boxes of 2 for $6. The infusers are selling in a box of 48 for $48, so $1/each. $4 per wedding favor for 150 guests is not okay in my mind!)
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!
Here is the tea infuser on its own:
