So in the chaos of gift opening, I do not know who $50 came from. It came from someone who also gave a gift. It didn’t get written down and no one can remember. I have it narrowed down to three possibilities. I feel awful! How do I write these thank you cards?? Also I received plates that I have no idea who they are from. No extra cards floating around. What do I do? Thank you!

Yikes! Do you think they all gave you gifts? I would just talk about the gifts and say it was “extra special” or something. The one who gave you the money will assume that’s what you’re talking about. The other ones will probably write it off as an enthusiastic thank you.

@FutureMrsMK: yeah don’t feel like you have to thank so specifically to those narrowed down guests. ‘your gift was more than generous!’ something like that could open endedly refer to it.
