I read a bunch of old posts with different views about matching invitations w/ overall color schemes, and I still can’t make up my mind whether or not to match my own.
Back when my colors were pink and green, I found clearance invitations at Michael’s and bought 2 boxes for a total of $20 (awesome deal, right?!). They’re both tea length; 1 box is pink/ivory and 1 box is green/ivory. The original idea was to mix and match pink envelopes w/ green invitations and vice versa.
Now, however, my colors are pink and teal, no green, but I’m thinking about just going with the original mix/match idea and making my enclosure cards a neutral ivory or blush, and no teal anywhere. Then on the day of my wedding, the only green will be in the foliage of whatever flowers I have; all decor/attire/etc. will feature mostly pink and teal.
Does this sound OK? Is this one of those tiny little details I shouldn’t sweat?
I’m usually a matchy-matchy person, so should I do the above and add teal belly bands or ribbon accents?
