I might also have him look at Tungsten -- it won't ever scratch and comes with a lifetime guarantee!
I'm partial to the two-toned ring because that's what my FI got!
Number one, your rings are out of control in the best possible way. Like, I keep scrolling up to look at them because I'm in love. Ok, on to your question. I actually like the design of the two tone (although it's not showing up as two tone on my computer, it looks all white gold to me). To me, it's still simple but interesting. So that is my vote, design of two tone, but all one color. Now excuse me while I drool over your rings again.
I really like the two tone ring. It's still very simple but cool. Yep agree with EAQ....totally drooling and jealous ( but seriously in a GOOD way).
Thanks for the input, ladies!
EAQ and happily - Thank you very much! The picture actually looks better/bigger than in reality. It was also taken at the jeweler, where the lighting is perfect. But, I do love my e-ring and just crossing my fingers that we don't go over budget on the wedding...which will hurt the chance of getting the stacked rings...(really, though, I will be happy either way b/c it's the man who'll be putting the ring on my finger that is truly awesome!)
Goodness. I don't think I've ever seen a ring with a stone that big before. Of the guy's ring, my favorite is the band that was two-toned.
hh - I have a small hand (ring size = 4). so, yes, the stone looks huge on the pic, but really it's pretty modest!...OK, it's a little bigger than modest...
The vote's tied at the moment; I guess we can't go wrong with either of the rings! :)
Edit - I learned that it's technically not "two-tone"; but the center of the ring is brushed white gold. Not sure what the technical term is to refer to the non-plain band...
I love the one color with two finishes, such as a tungsten band with a high polish and a satin stripe or something.
I think between the two, I like the plain one best. I think if he's a simpler dude, that looks a little more simple and classic.
I prefer the style of the two-tone myself, but like rings that are just a silver metal color. Good luck!
Etsy has a GREAT seller with awesome rings for men!

Enjoy!
I too am partial to the two-tone ring. It looks very similar to the one that my FI is interested in.
@msashleymarie - Thanks! I was thinking about getting my FI engagement ring, and I think I might try out the titanium. :)
We got our titanium rings from a seller on Etsy:

They're great--fast and inexpensive. I ordered my ring in the wrong size and they exchanged it with a smaller one for a whopping $16. I definitely recommend them for people wanting titanium. :)
we purchased my husbands Tungsten ring on Overstock.com and it looks exactly like the 2 tone one. He wanted something plain and I wanted him to have something a little more special. His ring goes very well with mine too. He loves it and it looks very handsome on his hand... and you can't beat the price of $70!! good luck picking :D
They both look fine. He will be wearing them so it should be his choice. Which does he like better? I really couldn't tell much of a difference between them except in the very up-close shots and no one will be examining it that closely.
He says he is indifferent. He says we narrowed it down to 2, and I should just pick one. :P
He did mention that Tungsten felt too light; Platinum too heavy; hence we are going with the white gold for him. But I thought I'll go ahead and get him a tungsten band to wear until the wedding. Get him used to wearing the ring! :)
i love the two tone one. Gives him a little something more than just a plain band.
That is the most fabulous engagement ring. Ever. This is kind of personal, but would you mind giving us specs on it, for those of us who loooooove diamonds? Carat weight, etc? That way I can live vicariously through you!
By itself, I like the look of the plain ring better, as you do. Even though the two-tone ring matches your set ... really, how often is his left hand going to be right next to yours so that anyone can see so? :-)
I know this post is about him...but I definitely think you should go with two bands....it looks gorgeous!
I voted for the plain one. I like those kinds because they tend to be more classic, imho.

We had to go get my e-ring adjusted this week and took the time to look at wedding bands. I was considering narrower band as I posted here, but decided that parting with my ring was just not an option. :) I did have to part with it for about 22 hrs to get it re-buffed and cleaned, and that was enough!
While we were looking at the wedding bands, I showed him what I had seen from some other Weddingbee ladies - stacking the wedding bands! He was speechless at first at the idea (audacity) that some of us might want TWO wedding bands, but once he saw how they looked, he said "I can't argue with you that looks nice" - translation = I'm most most likely getting two bands! Yay!
Now then, he picked two rings he liked. He says he is indifferent. But I have a dilemma. I think the plain band is nicer (I liked the look better on him and overall). The plain one matches my E-ring that is just a simple band. But the two-toned ring looks "matching" to the final look that my wedding ring(s) will have.
Which one do you like better? Personality wise, he's a very simple man. He doesn't even want platinum b/c he doesn't want it to be heavy and he just doesn't want to even feel that the ring is on his finger. Simplicity is his thing.
Which one do you like? Thanks for the help!
