As good as the aparagus salad sounds, I chose the plain salad so that everyone could eat it.  Some people have string feelings about aparagus (I personally love it) and if you have any vegetarians, they wouldn’t be able to eat the salad with prosciutto.

For the main, I chose the cheese and spinach stuffed chicken.  It’s simple and classic so it should go over well with most guests.

@mu_t:  You’ll be in the DR and even though it’s February, it will still be in the 70s and 80s so most people are going to want a lighter starter like a salad over something hot like soup.

@mu_t:  I’d want the soup too! For the main course beef medallions with pepper sauce sounds amazing. My second choice after the tortilla soup would be the mixed green salad.

if you’re getting married in Punta Cana, I think salad is appropriate as the heat and soup don’t necessarily go together. Maybe you could get soup and everyone else gets salad?

For me personally, I’d love the broccoli soup and the bacon wrapped chicken. But I know most people would prefer a regular greens salad. The asparagus salad also sounds delicious, but most people I know wont eat asparagus.

I voted the second salad, but couldn’t pick a main. Too much meat, not enough carbs!

I voted for the stuffed chicken.  I have a couple of relatives (incl my mom) who eat chicken but not beef or pork so the bacon wrapped chicken would be a no go for many of them.

The asparagus salad sounds amazing!  Even though it has proscuitto, I’d still go with that one because it would be delish.

I’d save the extra $850 and just to with one main.

@mu_t:  OH! That definitely changes things! If I HAD to pick, I would go with the medallions in the mushroom sauce (with potatoes!)

But everything looks much more delicious and balanced now that it’s not just a chunk of meat on the plate!

I realize that it would be warm and most people might prefer a light salad, but I absolutely adore brocooli cheese soup – so that’s what I picked!

For the entree I picked the peppered beef. I just got marreid a couple weeks ago and it was quite warm and we had a buffet with peppered beef and baked chicken and the beef was way more popular. Also, I don’t really like cooked spinach.
